Another month gone. It's hard to believe time goes so fast. I have so many pictures of sunrises and sunsets, days gone by.
Our summer in Las Vegas has continued to this present day, with temps in the high 90's.

I went to a neonatology conference here in town. It was at the Monte Carlo, and parking on the 2nd level of the garage afforded some great views of other hotels.
And some lovely tourist shared their upper respiratory infection with me by sneezing and hacking all over me. Thank you for this wonderful gift and the lost work time.
If only there was some way I could repay you...
My throat was so sore, I had to get 2 scoops of cookie dough ice cream to soothe it. I made sure to message this picture to my husband right away so he knew how badly I was suffering.
Taz was sympathetic too.
I have been convalescing for about 2 weeks now. Yesterday was the first day I was really up and about with clear mental thoughts and a smidge of energy. Today is even better.
Eric and I celebrated our 17th wedding anniversary this month. Thinking about this too much kind of freaks me out...mostly because it makes me think of my age. o.O

We went to Mt. Charleston for a get-away. The "hotel" is rustic and the food is really decent.

Scroll slowly. The scenery was just beautiful on the way there. It is amazing to me to think that this place exists in the middle of the desert.

I love how it says No. 1. Like it's 1 of 100 fire stations they have there. I think they should just put THE in front of fire station. :) It was actually in danger of closing this year. Read the article.

We also drove up to Lee Canyon.
Another day is gone but it was spent reminiscing and thinking of friends and family.
